Maximillian Gallery at Sunset Marquis is pleased to present Summer Break 2011 – Emerging To Established – A Gallery Artist Group Show. This summer show features some of the most original, prolific and talented artists in LA and beyond.
This exciting exhibition presents current work as well as older work from emerging street artists to established artists with work hanging in collections including The Smithsonian. Joining the mix are artists from the entertainment world such as Marky Ramone of The Ramones and Mary Lynn Rajskub of “24” fame, whose art is sought after by discerning collectors worldwide. From the Manga world comes an original Speed Racer painting by a newly discovered artist.
“The gallery is creating a conversation between established and emerging, between museum and street,” says Caradoc, Owner & Director of Maximillian Gallery; “In this show the art community and collectors can together witness the emergence of the next generation of great artists who may well become the Keith Harings and Andy Warhols of our time.”
“It’s a thrill to work with these artists who each define their own paths,” continues Caradoc, “Bringing together the brightest new stars of the LA street art scene with celebrity, emerging and established artists, reveals influences and cross-currents between generations, making for an exciting mix.”
This gallery showing also features works by my husband Andy Appleton and my good friend, photographer extraordinaire Ben Hoffman.
In my first gallery show, May-June 2011, I sold out all of my 5 pieces of artwork! For a sneek peek of some of my 10 pieces in this show please check out www.streetdeekay.com!
